Oklahoma High Speed Rail draft Environmental Assessment avail for public review and comment
Track 2 high speed intercity corridor grant applications required a completed “Service NEPA” environmental review document.
Those who attended one of the two public meetings and/or submitted public comment were part of this process. The draft document is now available for public review and comment.
This Tier 1 Environmental Assessment covers the Oklahoma City-Tulsa portion. ODOT is seeking a Categorical Exclusion (CE) for the Red River-Oklahoma City portion since that segment involves improvements primarly within the existing ROW of the Santa Fe Red Rock main line. To qualify for the CE, the state must still complete a worksheet to demonstrate the project will have minimal impacts on the environment.
